Thoroughly enjoying #1 : Mark Ernestus, The Surrealists map of the world & Veronica Vasicka

In an effort to post slightly more regularly here is the first in a series of (hopefully) weekly charts.

1. Mark Ernestus vs. Konono – Masikulu Dub

Ball breakingly heavy yet skeletal remix from the basic channel man. This follows the Shackleton remixes which are also well worth checking out. Listen here.

2. The Surrealists map of the world.

This 1929 map of the world by the surrealists has countries resized based on the extent to which the surrealists found them interesting. America has disappeared, Mexico is huge and Easter Island dwarfs Australia.

3. Oppenheimer’s Analysis – Radiance

This isn’t exactly a secret but I thought I’d throw it in as the minimal wave reissues have just been repressed. Catch Veronica Vasicka, the woman responsible for the label next week at Life on Wednesday, the Nest on Thursday and with Oni Ayhun and Oneohtrix point never at XOYO on Friday. There’s also a pretty cool Fact mix here.
